FROM TRAGEDY, ONE WOMAN CREATES A LEGACY

305 Dance Scholarships and Counting

Our Story

The Dancing Angels Foundation is a 501(c)(3) founded in September 2014 by Louise Cantrell after she experienced an immense tragedy. On March 6, 2012 her husband Edward and their two daughters Isabella, six,  and Natalia, four, died tragically in a house fire.

Edward was a Chief Warrant Officer 2 with 3rd Special Forces Group stationed at Ft. Bragg and had just returned from his sixth deployment.

The girls loved to dance, so in their honor and to perpetuate their memory, Louise created the foundation to provide hope and inspiration to parents who have lost children.

Our Mission

The Dancing Angels Foundation mission is to Celebrate Life Through Dance.

We enable this by providing valuable summer intensive scholarships to dancers who display a passion for dance and a serious focus on training. Our goal is to help dance students across the globe follow their dreams, and we are committed to building a network of donors, schools, and dance professionals to help facilitate the mission.

We have helped dancers attend training at renowned schools like American Ballet Theatre, Miami City Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem, FINI Dance Italy, Pacific Northwest Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Alvin Ailey, Charlotte Ballet, Martha Graham School, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Alonzo King LINES, Joffrey Ballet and many more!

Dance was the joy and passion of our two angels, Isabella & Natalia. Dancing Angels Foundation is dedicated to honoring them by awarding scholarships to those who share their enthusiasm and commitment to dance.
